Paraíba do Norte River

The Paraíba do Norte River, mostly known as Paraíba River, is the most important watercourse of the state of Paraíba in northeastern Brazil. 

The river originates in the Borborema Plateau, and flows northeast to empty into the Atlantic Ocean, north of João Pessoa, the state capital. 

Its constantly menaced estuary has a handful of little islands—among them Restinga and Stuart—and is the habitat of a range of animal species, as well as a number of ecosystems such as mangroves, the Atlantic Forest and salt marshes.

Tallahala Creek

Tallahala Creek is a river in the southeast part of the U.S. state of Mississippi. It flows from north to south, joining the Leaf River east of Hattiesburg near the town of New Augusta in Perry County.

Escatawpa River

Escatawpa River is a 129-mile-long (208 km) river in the states of Alabama and Mississippi. It is a tributary of the Pascagoula River.

Escatawpa is a name derived from the Choctaw language meaning "where cane is cut".

National Bird of India

The Indian peacock, Pavo cristatus, the National Bird of India, is a colourful, swan-sized bird, with a fan-shaped crest of feathers, a white patch under the eye and a long, slender neck. The male of the species is more colourful than the female, with a glistening blue breast and neck and a spectacular bronze-green tail of around 200 elongated feathers. 
The female is brownish, slightly smaller than the male and lacks the tail. The elaborate courtship dance of the male, fanning out the tail and preening its feathers is a gorgeous sight.

Paroo is the local Aboriginal word for the Bony bream fish which are common in the river.

Gulkana River

 The Gulkana River is a 60-mile (97 km) tributary of the Copper River in the U.S. state of Alaska.

Noatak River

The Noatak River's headwaters are on the north flank of Mount Igikpak in the Schwatka Mountains of the Brooks Range in the Gates of the Arctic National Park.nThe Noatak flows generally westward for about 425 miles (684 km) to the Chukchi Sea at Kotzebue Sound.

Manistee River

The Manistee River, seldom referred to as the Big Manistee River, runs 190 miles (310 km) through the northwestern Lower Peninsula of Michigan; it now passes through the contemporary villages of Sharon, Smithville, and Mesick, entering Lake Michigan at Manistee.

It is considered, like the nearby Au Sable River, to be one of the best trout fisheries east of the Rockies. The Manistee River is also being considered for restoration of Arctic grayling, which have been extirpated from the State of Michigan since 1936.
